The Youth Flag Football World Championships are returning to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, Jan 21-22, 2024. More than 200 teams from 32 states and 5 countries competed in the 2023 championships, battling it out for flag football supremacy, with 10 Championship games aired on ESPN3.
“In 2024 we are expecting over 350 teams of boys and girls ages 5-17 years old,” said tournament organizer Austin Bradshaw. “It’s exciting to see teams coming from all over the country to play the game we all love. Watching the 6U Division Championships last year Arizona V’s Pennsylvania and the 14U girls’ finals with Boston V’s New York was amazing. It was such great action on the field and even better comradery off the field. The atmosphere was electric, seeing kids as young as five years old from Hawaii throwing 30 yd passes, female players from Mexico and Panama bringing their style and swagger. It’s truly a unique event.”
Registration for the 2024 Youth Flag Football World Championships is now open on www.zortssports.com. The event is open to ANY team from ANY league with age divisions from 5U-16U for boys and 8U-17U for girls. Championship games for the even age groups will once again be aired on ESPN3. Win or lose, it promises to be one of the biggest and best youth flag football tournaments in the World.
