New disinfecting technology able to be used on planes

CHARLESTON, S.C. – When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in mid March of 2020, the number of airline travelers was only about 10% of what it was compared to the previous year. Commercial airline companies started to use and promote the use of sanitization in every portion of the cabin – the entire cabin was disinfected before and after flights, and passengers were given sanitizing wipes to use at their discretion to help stop the spread of the infectious disease. While these are great options that work well, the sanitization supply costs can add up quickly, and that’s the last thing airlines want to have to deal with during a pandemic on a global scale such as this one.

This is where the newly developed Paerosol MAG, or micro-aerosol generator kicks in to play. The Paerosol MAG is a newly developed patented disinfecting platform that, in conjunction with the Paerolyte liquid disinfectant, creates a sub-micron dry spray. This dry spray turns the liquid disinfectant into a dry gaseous element that is able to spread quickly and kill up to 99.9999% of all viruses, bacteria, and mold in the airplane1. The non-toxic disinfectant in this dry spray form can kill viruses, bacteria, and mold in both the air and on surfaces, whether it be hard surfaces such as the tray tables in the seats or soft surfaces that it can permeate such as the aisle carpeting, or the air which can kill these infectious pathogens that could be still circulating in the air vents of the plane. In comparison to what airlines are currently doing to stop the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the Paerosol micro-aerosol generator is an easy to use and cost-efficient alternative with a higher kill rate to pathogens. The Paerosol MAG works as a realistically hands-free system – you pour the liquid disinfectant into the MAG, turn it on and let the MAG work its magic.

“The MAG [micro-aerosol generator] is fantastic for planes – given its relatively small size compared to a building or even an office space, the MAG is a quick and efficient way to disinfect planes whenever it needs to be done at a cheap price.”

About Paerosol – Paerosol is a platform which kills air and surface-borne mold, bacteria, and viruses at up to a 99.9999% rate of effectiveness. The Paerosol technology originated in the Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (“PNNL”) which is managed and operated by Battelle Memorial Institute. As part of the Federal Lab Commission’s (“FLC”) efforts to commercialize federally owned technology within the private sector, Paerosol LLC (founded by Steve Gareleck, CEO and Scott Alderson, President) obtained the exclusive licensing rights to this disinfecting technology directly from Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Paerosol’s proprietary Dry Spray technology allows for Paerolyte’s liquid disinfectant to get into all corners and crevices of any space it’s placed in. Paerosol has been successfully tested by US & Foreign Government Agencies. The United States Defense Threat Reduction Agency successfully tested Paerosol against bio-agents including simulates of Anthrax and Ebola, common civilian and hospitals pathogens such as E Coli and Salmonella, antibiotic-resistant microbes, and viruses including H1N1 (swine flu), H5N1 (bird flu), MRSA, and the SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID-19)2.
