At present, the whole world is spending a pandemic situation for Covid-19. In these pandemic situations, worldwide most of the educational institutions has been closed which results in children spend his/her free time in many online activities such as an online game, cartoon videos, funny videos, songs, movies, etc.

Malware is a cybercriminal or hacker created software that causes damage to a computer through unauthorized access. Malware such as worms, Trojan horses,  computer viruses, and spyware. Malware is a process for the hacker to make money and politically motivated cyber attacks.


Ransomware is one kind of malware threat where hackers block access to files or data or computer systems until the ransom is paid. In this type of threat, hackers demand a ransom.


Hackers sent fraudulent emails from reputed sources to the user to steal sensitive information such as credit card or login information. This type of cybersecurity threat is also known as phishing.

Why cybersecurity learning is important for the child

In the digital age, children are highly addicted to different online activities such as an online game, downloading new applications, movies, songs, etc. they could face different malware, ransomware, viruses, etc. treats in the absence of cybersecurity learning. If infected by those threats, users can lose access to their devices like mobile devices, computer, gaming devices, etc. children works different time in different devices so it is impossible to ensure they will work with protected filters. So, do not open or click any unknown email attachments or unknown links. For better safety, you should keep your devices updated. And regularly update your software or application which is running in your devices. The most important protection from cyber attacks is extra back up files. If your devices need to clean due to a cyber-attack these backup files help to store and save your files.

Every parent wants to allow their children to use the internet to communicate, learning, and more. And they also want their children to stay safe in online activities. For those purposes, the parent needs to play some role. These are:

  • Parents should monitor your child and his activities online.
  • Parents should limit access to websites. And blocking the unnecessary sites and filters unnecessary contents.
  • Parents must set up time limits for how long their children stay online and access the internet so the child spends minimum time online.
  • Parents should teach the child about cyberlearning through providing online safety booklets.
  • Regular update your software and operating system.
